Parents We appreciate the fact that we have many volunteers involved in our school. All parents automatically belong to the parent association that is governed by the Parent Resource Committee. For more information, contact Carol Criswell, Facilitator at: ccriswell@ez2.net. Our School Advisory Council is actively involved in advising the principal and the pastor on school policies. School Advisory Council members are chosen by vote of our constituents. They are governed by bylaws that have been approved by the Archdiocese of Portland. As part of the tuition agreement, each family is required to contribute a minimum number of Fair Share hours per school year, beginning August 15th and ending May 15th of the following year. Two-parent families must contribute 30 hours of service; single parent families must contribute 15 hours of service. Families can accumulate hours by participating in a variety of activities, some of which include School Advisory Council and PRC board positions and committees, school and parish fundraising and development committees, classroom/library/office work, playground and field trip assistants, instructional assistants and tutors, school and parish maintenance, hot lunch program, CYO coaching, and take home projects. Each parent is responsible for becoming informed of opportunities to earn hours. Please see our Parent-Student Handbook for more information. In order to provide a safe environment for our children, the Archdiocese of Portland has mandated that any individual who wishes to volunteer in our school setting must successfully complete a criminal background check. Forms are available in the school office. In keeping with Archdiocesan policy, we require signed parental permission forms for all photographs of students published on our school website.
